What did you do yesterday?

So, what did everyone do yesterday for Valentines Day? Didn't see a thread on this, so figured I'd start one. Here's what I did:

Stayed late after work to finish making my girlfriends present. It was a 4"x13" piece of brushed aluminum, sand-blasted her name into it, and then bent it into a nice arc so it would stand on edge. Figured she could put it in her office or something. Sand-blasting machine kept getting clogged, and had to keep dismantling the nozzle to unclog it, ruined 2 pieces of aluminum befor I got it right.

I've been spending so much time with her lately though, I hadn't had a chance to buy her anything or make dinner reservations, so after work, I hauled ass to the record store to buy a CD that I know she was really wanting (Flood by They Might Be Giants). After that, went to Hallmark to get her a card, also bought some wrapping paper and stuff.

Went to the store and bought her a dozen yellow roses (her favorite), then headed home to wrap her gifts, sign her card, shave, and take a shower. I actually ended up with 14 roses instead of 12 somehow, so I took one of them, peeled all the petals off and put them all over the bed. Took another one and put it at the top of the stairs to my apartment for when she showed up.

Also called all over town trying to make reservations at a nice restaurant, but everyone was booked solid. Gave up on that idea...

She showed up around 8, I answered the door with the dozen roses and a glass of Chatea Ste. Michele Reisling for her. We talked for a bit, I gave her the gifts and the card which she loved. Then, my friend Daniel who works at a very nice restaurant here (Luna), called and told me he'd managed to save a table for me, so we headed up there for dinner and got some royal treatment. She loved it. Had a great dinner, penne pasta with gorgonzola/cream/garlic sauce, chicken and fresh spinach and a few drinks.

After that, went and had a few drinks at a nice bar downtown, then headed home around 1:30am. She about lost it when she saw the rose-petals on the bed, and we spent the next hour and a half or so annoying the shit out of my downstairs neighbors (you can hear EVERYTHING between our apartments).

Finally got to sleep around 3:30 and had to be up at 6:30 to get to work... that part sucked because all I wanted was to stay in bed with her. All in all though, it was a great night, thought I would share.

Re: What did you do yesterday?

After class most of the day I went straight into work. I stayed at work until about 3am today because no one who was there all day did ANYTHING. I was aparently my managers valentine because he bought me some taco bell...I guess he thought I would put out for a burrito. I had some flowers delivered to a girl at about 5pm yesterday while I was at work, I got a call she was happy, my valentines joy was about a 10 minute phone conversation with the girl while I was still at work.

Cupid needs to not go out drinking the night before valentines day next year.

Re: What did you do yesterday?

I went to an interview at a preschool to be a teacher. I'm not ready to move on from my last engagement yet, so I was alone.....

Re: What did you do yesterday?

mine was great!!!!

I worked 12 hours...went home and made her a nice dinner outside with candles etc...she loved it but afterwards it went to hell...then we slept, before work I had to go pay a ticket..we did that then got lunch...she and I fought...and she quasi broke up with me and I went back to work. Worked 12 hours with everyone telling me how happy they were they and having to check their boxes full of flowers and candy.....

then I went home and everything was done all nice and stuff, but she got all upset and depressed. Then we were feelin a lil better, she made it all better. So we were downstairs and I had just boiled water and poured it into a cup with a honey stick and a tea bag...she took the honey stick and it driped, I jumped as a reaction and spilled scaulding water on my leg and jumped up and shouted.. She didnt like that...and other things...and we broke up.

Now im at work 12 more hours...YAY ME!!!!

(I didnt shout at her, I swore because my leg hurt" F***, F***...that hurts!")
