Check this out would you get this??? I would but I dont have the skill or time to swap the engine in fact im still paying for mine!!!

FWIW.....I paid $950 for my 6.0L with 8,000 miles. Good deals are out there, you just have to be lucky enough to run up on one.

If you want to know,the cat will kill a 5.3 if it gets plugged up.I have seen this happen.You might want to check into a Jasper,they put in updated pistons in the 5.3.The ones from the factory are junk.I have seen this,A Jasper rep that comes into my father's shop brought in two pistons,the factory one and the updated one.GM did not want to take more time to machine the pistons more for the 5.3 and the updated one is machined to Jasper's specs by a company I cannot remember off my head that did that
