CD Problems 99 GT

My 1999 Grand Prix GT (3.8) 90,000 miles, Won't play CD'S anymore. When I stick one in, it kicks it back out and gives me a "ERR 20'" message.
Anyone have this problem?

Thanks,

Dave

Re: CD Problems 99 GT

Mine does the same thing. It means that the CD player is dying/dead. You can try to clean it and see if it buys you some time but typically it means a replacement head unit is needed.

yeah ussualy you can find one cheap on ebay, and they are quite easy to remove/install, if you do get a used one make sure the theft lock isnt activated.
