Port alarm-> aftermarket alarm

so im wanting to install an aftermarket alarm in my 7G GT. The port installed alarm is messed up or something (hell i cant even find the thing) and i want to get a new aftermarlet alarm, preferably the prestige with the celica on the lcd.

well the problem right now is....

since the alarm is messed up the lock actuator in the drivers door isnt engaging to lock/unlock. It has been replaced by carmax but still no go. everything else works and i can unlock all doors from the drivers door with the key. I was told that if i get the aftermarket alarm, it should fix this problem since the keyless entry works off of the actuators.

im planning on getting keyless entry installed sometime soon and i was wondering if that as long as i have actuators on all the doors, will keyless entry work? even if the current alarm is not functional.
