What did I just buy? '83 econoline...

I just purchased a older econoline cargo van but I am not sure if it is 3/4 ton or 1 ton. It has the 6cyl engine but 8 lug rims and a tall and firm suspension. cna enyone direct me to a good web page or give me some insite on this van. I would like to give it a slight body lift and bumper treatment to use it for camping etc... I need your input. Thanks in advance

You can check with your local Ford dealer to find out. Just give them your vin number and they can look it up.

You might have already checked but have you looked at the driver's door? In my E350 the specs. of the truck is inside the cab behind the driver's seat.
