OBD or OBD II

Hello,

I have 1989 Ninety Eight Regency. I need to know which OBD it is equiped with so I can buy the proper code reader. Any help is appreciated.

I believe that car is a halfbreed computer system. I know of many gm cars in the 94-95 range that seem to be mixed. Usually on those cars, it's best to have a dealership do the diag and go over the results with you. Make sure you request a list of trouble codes or a printout of the results.

correct....it is hybrid.

OBD II with OBD codes or even vise versa or mixed...its a crazy stupid GM idea. You can get a actron scanner for about $200 that will do obd 1.5
