Need help with some eclipse potential questions
Hi everyone, I have a friend who has a 1990 eclipse with a 5 speed and the 1.8l engine. he wants to get around 200 hp out of it. What all will he have to change for it to harness that power without stuff breaking, and i'm guessing he'll have to switch to a 2.0l, but other than that any suggestions would be very greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot guys!

Re: Need help with some eclipse potential questions
It will be pretty hard to hit 200 hp in the 1.8 liter. I'm guessing a custom turbo setup would be in order. With the usual bolt-ons, he won't even get close.

Re: Need help with some eclipse potential questions
It's very hard to get 200 HP out of a n/t 2.0. i doubt he will out of a 1.8 without a turbo kit. and GL not blowing the motor.

Re: Need help with some eclipse potential questions
Turbo is the only way to even possibly get that much power out of a 1.8.
