99 chevy s10, can't disarm alarm
99' chevy s10
the alarm came with the truck, its a viper alarm thats all i know. this problem just started recently. we never used the alarm but the other day the alarm keeps turning on. Cant disarm the alarm. every time someone opens the door the alarm will go off and i have to push the button deal on the keychain dealy to stop it. how do I disarm the alarm? is there a manual for this alarm or something, i only know what 1 of the buttons on the keychain thing does also, not sure what the other is for. one has a circular indent - this is the 1 i push to stop the alarm when it is going off. and the other button has two parallel line indents- not sure what this 1 does. i found this silver looking knob button thing its right above the brake pedal. but it wont push in, pull out or twist. so i dunno what to do with it. its hidden really well so i assume its for the alarm? any help is appreciated |

1. The alarm may be auto arm-ing causing to to go off while the foor is opened. 2. the thing by the brake pedal is probably a switch. If so, its probably for remote start.
