Timing System Question

Hi everybody I have a question about my timing system specifically wether or not the timing is controlled by a belt or chains. I have a 1993 Chyrsler Lebaron 4 door sedan 6cyl 3.0L engine. I asked about replacing the belt/chain and the rather high cost suggested to me that it would be chains rather than a belt.

well, a lot of that cost is labor, also while you are in there change the waterpump, the crank and cam seals too, also, it might not be a bad idea to change the tensioner.

Re: Timing System Question

ugh that sounds even more expensive. <sighs> I wonder if there is anyway they can just take a look at it without having to spend $500 it looks like there is a panel on the engine that would come off easy to check the belt.
