Ralliart spec 3000gt vs Nissan Skyline GTS

Well where I live they have these gatherings at night about 10:30pm just outside of town. Usually 40 odd cars turn up to do burn outs etc.

Not many races go on but a shit load of cars and fun!! well being the only 3000gt there I get a lot of shit from people saying my car looks ugly, Its a boat on wheels etc

well anyway I had just had about enough when this guy and his Nissan Skyline GTS challenged me to a race. Every one was saying how my car was gonna get wasted etc. so he brought a couple of his freinds with him to prove to every one that he beat me with his 450hp car with NOS etc.

20+ odd people gather to watch us race. we are reving our cars 3,2,1 and I launch my car at 6000rpm his car is RWD so its spinning like hell I've got all my Fours spinning also I hook up and take about a car on him (beleive it or not but his car actually hooks up a second before mine).

I shift to second and he gains a bit but looses it just as fast and returns to about a car length behind we stay that way untill 160kph where I take him all the way to 290kph.

He races back before we even finish and tells every one that I won because he had a slipping clutch which he has had for a while (B.S).

most said they still like the skyline while looking at my car asking if they could come for a ride lol...

while his freinds who witness the race looked shocked and suprised....

Havn't seen this guy around for about a month now. I heard that he is getting bigger upgrades and is looking for another race.

Bring em on!!! lol.....

Pics of my ride if anyone is interested......

Re: Ralliart spec 3000gt vs Nissan Skyline GTS

Thanks man. Yea its had two conversions 1995 back in 95 when most of the mods were done and one in 1999 when she got the 97 face lift and a few things done to the induction to get her down from 4sec - 3.5 in the 100kph sprint. she would be making more than 530hp but I don't have the proof so 530ATW will do for now...lol

Well actually that is a GTO, not a 3000gt. Yeah yeah, I know, I know....same thing. But it is a RHD, so it's technically a GTO. That is freaking sweet dude.

Just because its RHD doesnt make it a GTO.

Re: Ralliart spec 3000gt vs Nissan Skyline GTS

why doesn't it make it a GTO? I thought it was common knowledge that the only real differences between a GTO and 3000GT was RHD vs LHD

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: Ralliart spec 3000gt vs Nissan Skyline GTS

No. Only Japan got GTO's. Everywhere else got 3000gt's. US got Stealth and 3000gt's and Canada only got Stealths. For instance, the 13g option was only available on UK 3000gt's.
