Re: Mpg

only thing you can do to try and get better mileage is keep the revs low...A FIPK supposedly helps a little too.

Re: Mpg

I've gone on a few long distance trips on my car and I got about 400+ miles on a tank of gas, and that was before the amber light came on (3 gallons left).

So a little under 17 gallons used (let's just use 17 anyways) off of 430 miles = approx 25 miles to the gallon. This was going about 90 most of the way too. Not too shabby for a twin turbo sports car if you ask me.

Re: Mpg

The economy switch is just for ATX's. If I traveled at a more normal rate of speedand didnt do any cuty driving I could have easily reached 30mpg on my one trip.

Re: Mpg

Notice how everyone is helpful and Igo throws the "search" post out? hehe.
Sometimes there are times to tell people to search, and sometimes it's easier just to give the info. That's why I can hate 3si at times. You ask a question, and they jump on you and tell you to search. Why not just close down all the forums and lock them, and make 1 post on every page "search" then?

New people join and leave forums, and can give new info.

Re: Mpg

Because i've been here 3 or 4 years and still there are people who ask questions, where the answer could be found with 45 seconds of searching. I'm not trying to be a prick, but I frequent many forums, and get slightly annoyed when people ask the same questions without bothering to search for answers themselves. They could save themselves the time of waiting for a response, and save us the time of repeating ourselves for the 500x time.

Notice how the FAQ is entitled "read before asking", yet how many people post a day without ever reading it..

Honestly, I have no problems helping people, that is what these forums are for, I just would also appreciate people helping themselves every so often.

There are a ton of posts on 3si that are unnecessary. Thats why search is thrown out so much. In a one week period I saw the same question about how to change the taillight bulbs asked 5 times. You wouldnt beleive the things you can learn when you actually do search though. I was having electrical isues putting a 92 RT back together after an accident. I searched and read for over 2 hours. I learned so many new things that nigh that I didnt know before, and I found my answer.
