ARE PASSAT ENGINES INTERFERENCE OR NON-iNTERFERENCE

I am thinking about getting an O1 Passat..
I would like to know if the engines are interference or non interferene?

Interference. Do your timing belt on schedule!

it the timing belt breaks its 3500 for a head job
