Help!!

I have an 02 Civic Ex and I guess I ran over some gum because I have stringy gum all over my back bumper. I can't find anything to remove the gum without ruining my paint. I've tried all kinds of things. I have a couple people telling me to use Gasoline but I don't know..I'm leary of that. Can you girls sugguest anything for me? Also, do you know of any engine mods that I can perform on my car without voiding the factory warranty?

I'm not one of the girls in here, but I can suggest somethings to you.

For the gum, did you try using rubbing alcohol? If that doesn't work, then try camping fuel, or gasoline would work too, just be sure not to rub too hard with it, and be sure to rinse it off afterwards, you don't want your bumper to become apt to spontainiously combust.

For mods, one thing I'd first and foremost recommend, is replacing your stock airfilter (the actual finned paper filter) with a much less restrictive K&N drop-in Filtercharger air filter. It'll allow your engine to breathe a bit better, and can in cases add horsepower as well. Since you are onlyy replacing the filter itself, and nothing more, it won't at all void your warranty.

As far as anyother engine mods, virtually anything else WILL void your warranty.

If its definitly gum you ran over then just get some peanut butter. No joke, peanut butter breaks down gum and dissolves it. I would try to rub I light coat of peanut butter over a small spot, then use a clean lint free towel to wipe off any residue. Once all the gum is removed wash with some warm water and your favorite car wash. I'm pretty sure peanut butter won't hurt your paint either.
