99 Z34 noise in rear.

Hi. When driving on rough roads, I hear thumping and rumbling sounds coming from the rear. Nothing is loose in the trunk and I replaced the struts. The noise comes from both sides around the tires. The noise is especially prominent during cold weather. Thanks.

I just had the same problem. I needed to repace the rear bearings. Once that was done the sound was gone. Hope that helps

Did you replace the strut mounts when you replaced the struts? That could be the problem too
