Angry Searcing and searcing!

I've been searcing for a 1991 non turbo, t-top basic almost no options mr2 for almost 5 months now and im having no luck.. i basically want to swap out the engine, rip everything off the car, swap the drivetrain and make a street tuner with it... I've loved the car form the first time i seen one beat a mustang cobra in a video, its a sweet little car and has alot of options... I just can't find one to buy around me anywere... im willing to drive a while to get it i just really want one of these cars.. Could anyone help me out n getting ahold of one? Thanks

it would help if we knew where you lived... and if you want a turbo car, start with one.

Re: Searcing and searcing!

I live in fairborn ohio, its a little town about 8 miles from dayton ohio... I wouldn't mind the turbo equiped mr2 but i figured if im going to do the motor swap and transmission and drivetrain then i might as well start with the basic mr2 and not waste any money. Is the turbo equpped mr2 that much better even with the motor swap??

Re: Searcing and searcing!

What motor do you plan on swapping into it?

The turbo MR2 has other options/features the non-turbo does not.

I didn't know that, i thought that i could juut pull the motor and change the ecu and it would run the same... i am hopeing to swap for the 3s-gte right now but i havent really looked into all the options.. thats just kinda the first thing ive seen and liked
