Question 95 neon engine shut down and will not start

Hello, I have a 95 neon SOHC has been running good but the last 5 days it all went bad. I was driving and the oil light started comming on a little at first then constantly. I shut it off and found the plug was gone. put a plug in it and oil and it ran fine for 2 days. Then t CHECK ENGINE light came on I pulled the codes and they were 12,25,55. I found a vacume leak fixed it and the light turned off. Today going to work it the light came back on and it started stumbling at Idle and eventually shut off all together. The engine spins freely the belt spins the cam but it will not run. I get codes 12,25,43,55. Any ideal on where to start looking would be appreciated.

Brian

Don't worry about codes 12 and 55, they are no big deal. Code 25 is Idle air control motor circuits problem, target idle not reached (+/- 200), vacuum leak found. You still might have the vacuum leak. Code 43 is a cylinder misfire. Usually changing the spark plugs will take care of this code. Change the plugs with the stock Champions and gap them to 0.035". After all this is done the computer should be reset when you disconnect the negative termincal on the battery (should be done before replacing the spark plugs).

Just another FYI, if your oil light is coming on then it might be too late, so stop driving the car immediately unless you wanna spring for a new engine!
