Re: Oil Lines??S10

Hey, I had to buy new ones when I put a new 4.3 in my 95 S10 4x4. I went to my local Napa parts store and they had them for 35$ and the dealer wanted around 100$.

If you want there number or part number let me know. They could prolly help you out, if still needed.

the lines from napa are poor quality, and your best off going to the dealer and spending the 100 buks to fix it right, with quality parts, the job is a fun one to do, why do it more often?

I'm using the dorman set. I bought some from rockauto for $20. They lasted about a year and 50,000 miles. When they started leaking a few weeks ago, I bought another set from Advance Auto for $30 because I didn't have time to wait on shipping. They are much cheaper than OEM, because they are lower quality. (Not poor quality, just lower quality.) The next time they need to be replaced, I'll probably check out GMPartsDirect.com.

They're not that hard to replace, takes me about 20 minutes.

Re: Oil Lines??S10

I always thought about cutting the crimped collars off(carefully not to cut into the line you need) with a air cut off tool and gettings some new lines and then clamp them on with hose clamps(double clamp or triple clamp).I'm sure it can be done and give better results.
