700r4 problems

Alright I had a rebuilt tranny put in last week. It was shifting to soon and 3rd slips barely. the next day it would not go in gear. My radiator was bad and had to put in a tranny cooler. It was flushed a couple times. Now it still shifts to soon going in 1 and 2 and 3 still slightly slips. When I get up to 65 it has no passing gear but if i down shift it It will go in passing gear.
He says drive for a cou5555ple days and he will adjust the cable.
Can the cable cause that many problems or did I get screwed????????

Re: 700r4 problems

If you have a truck with a carb on it, then yes, the cable can do all those things. Why didn't he just adjust it the first time?

Re: 700r4 problems

I would take it back and make him adjust the tv cable, if you dont get it adjusted right it will burn out the clutches.
