22b in a 2.5 RS?
Hi there
has anyone ever done this? I'm finishing up my Supra project and was looking to do something interesting. Is it even possible to find 22b front clips? I'm not sure of the production run, but I know they were pretty limited. If you have any ideas, or know where to point me, that would be great. Thanks.. bryant |

Well I seriously doubt you'd be able to find a front clip... And even if you could, I bet you could build a stronger engine for cheaper.
But even if you just found the engine, I'd say it's doable... Donno how the mounting points line up but a few custom moter mounts should do the trick I'll dig around on i'club, see what they think.

i would have to say yes, considering that the 2.5 rs and wrx run the same chassis... it should bolt right in...

production run-400 cars.
well 399 officially cuz they never sold the 13th one. its gonna be tough to find and it will cost u. i say try like a "replica" 22b motor, get a ej20 from a wrx and a 2.2 liter stroker kit, i have seen one of those somewhere. that will cost a lot less. for maximun effect, try to use a ej20 from an STi, not just a regular wrx. my idea was a built 2.5 with a supercharger in a 2.5rs, with 22b style flares. i think that would be cool. |
