Clio Extreme '53 reg - rear light & breaking problem

Hi, i'm looking for some advise on a few problems with my '53 plate Renault Clio Extreme (1.2 16V). Theres a few problems with the wiring on the car and i'm unsure how the solve the problems. When i have the car in reverse and apply the brakes, the rear fog lights in the cluster come on and the indicator and fog light symbols light up on the dash (this happens all the time). If i'm driving fowords as normal and apply the breaks the same thing happens but not all the time. The car has now started to make a high pitched noise (like a warning alarm) from the boot area when i'm driving as normal then apply the brakes. Lastly the rear fog lights sometimes come on by themselves, stay on for a day or two, then switch themselves off. The brakes are abs and seem to be working fine, they haven't failed and brake as they should.

Has anyone come across these sorts of problems with Clios before and if anyone has any information that could help it would be grately appreciated.

I Had A Simular Problem. Have You Moved Any Bulbs Around In The Back Light?

Hey ZOE2,

The problems sorted now. I hadn't touched any of the rear bulbs, the previous keeper had a towbar on the back then removed it before selling it, except they just hacked the connecting wires off. These wires were connected to the rear lights and everytime the bear wires (which they cut) touched the car chassis, this problem occurred.

Ok, i'll try and help. Could you explain the problem in more detail please, does it happen all the time or only when your driving? Have you changed the bulbs at all? Has the car been in an accident that you know of?
I take it that you've put a system in, did this problem start happening after you intalled your amp?
