just a question
ive read through some of these threads and done some reading on fiero's. looks like they come with 2.5 4 cyl or a 6 cyl 2.8. but do many put v8's or anything into fiero's. i was just wondering cuz a kid up here at school has a fiero and it sounds like a v8.

Re: just a question
The most outlandish one we've seen to date, is Dave Windingland's "FearArrow". It sports a Pontiac 455! Runs low 11s on motor (87 octane) and low 10s on a 150 "hit".
The trans is a TH325 (FWD unit from an '81 Riviera). The starter was relocated to the other side, the flexplate modified to fit the Pontiac hub, "custom" headers and a cool "cradle" for the whole mess to sit in. No hack job! Dave says the car "drives" like a Fiero, as the balance is still pretty good. It gets awesome traction. It will pull the front up to just where the tires are "skimming" the ground. He'll be "on display" at Pontiacs In The Park, at Virginia Motorsports Park this May. Jim |

Re: just a question
The exhaust note on the 2.8 can sound pretty racey, especially if there has been a chambered muffler like a Flowmaster installed. Best way to find out is to ask the guy about his car, a lot of Fiero owners are pretty proud of their toys and will happily pop the hood, especialy if they went through the trouble of installing a V8.
