DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

This is the place where you place your ideas and suggestions for making the DOTM/MOTM better for future months. I have an idea on what to do for the March DOTM, but I want to get your inputs in too.

Re: DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

well for one thing i would say let there be a prize, such as a picture to put in your sig ... or somthing like a trophey with saying your username and the month and year you won at the bottem and on the middle of he trophey be like "Diecast of the Month" or "Modifer of the Month" buit thats just my idea, i would like to see what you have to come up with ...

Re: DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

I plan on getting PhotoShop real soon so I can try to do some kind of artwork but for now I won't be able to do that. If someone else here can do it then that will be good.

Re: DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

if possible:

1. it would be a judging system.. let say @gtmike can recommend us some 3 to 5 judges....

2. we @ diecast section can vote thru pm.. @ any JUDGE.so that it wouldnt take a week to win a contest.

3.as my suggestion on Nos. 1 & 2... there will be no more poll..

4. its up to the JUDGES for the Final winners.

thats it for now.

Re: DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

wait what!? there isn;t going to be a poll and there are going to be judges? if so then we should pick like a few judges in this forum and write up a few sentences on their choice so it isn't like oh yeah i vote for hobbes ro something like that. and if we do have judges would they be the judge for both motm and dotm? if we have judges can we enter our own cars? if we do have judges i think it should change every month so everyone gets a chance to be on if they want. sort of like jury duty you get your own part. and lastly if we are having judges can i be one?

wait new idea. if we do have judges it should be even numbered such as maybe as low as 4 and maybe as high as 8 or 10. then if it's an even vote or something for like two cars we can have a poll to decide the winner. well i guess odd number of judges doesn't matter anyways cuz tehre will be more than 2 cars but w/e.

Re: DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

its just a suggestion...

if we have judges... it must be ODD numbers.. 3,5,7etc...

i think.. we @ the diecast forum has a SLOT to become a judge...but if youre

a judge, you must not join or have an ENTRY for MOTM/DOTM..

this would be more faster in determining the winners..

Re: DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

Heres a suggestion, themes. Like for March Diecast of the Month you post your sports coupe. And everyone has to post a Sports coupe, ext. That way its fair and no so widley varied.

I mean, it is kinda unfair, a $200 car vs a $20 car. of course the more expensive one will win.

Re: DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

Well I Can See What Your Saying With The Judges But It Might Be A Problem Since We Only Got 4 Entries For Motm Which Is Not To Great To Begin With But If We Need Judges We Wold Hav Very Few Contestants!

Re: DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

as ive said... @gtmike (i think) can provide us with judges...

and if there's someone willing to be here @ diecast forum to be a judge.. so there would be a SLOT for us..

so its just an idea.. so that it wont take a week.. in determining the winners.

the contest is not "most expensive diecast"...

so its how you deal w/contest.. so just be good in choosing your entry.....

i mean.. you know.. who has this / who has that.. so better submit an entry

w/c other's doesnt have..

Re: DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

@g35 not true on the $200 to $20. look at rasta's cadillac. he is schooling me! i think he has like twice as many votes as i have.

@rasta no even judges so then if it's a tie then we can have the rest of the people vote that are in this forum. it would make the voting process more exciting. just my opinion. and why would we need gt mike to do the judges? we can just nominate them ourselves.

Re: DOTM/MOTM Suggestion Box

@nosliw.

In RESPECT of @gtmike... as a moderator of this forum.. and i think he knows more people in this forum..that can JUDGE our diecast MOTM/DOTM.

but as ive said.. we can also have a slot.. for us here @ the diecast forum as judges as well.

i think we dont have to worry about the VOTING process.. co'z we can send our vote thru PM...

this is only my point of view..

so its up to us here at the DIECAST FORUM...what to decide.
