Fuse Box location
I have a 1999 Grand AM Se, and I believe a fuse might be messed up in it. Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how to get to the fuses. But in case Im wrong, Ill go through the problem my car is giving me.
This morning I tried to start my car and noticed the only thing that turned on was the overhead light. The clock did not turn on when I turned my key, there was no response from my car except for the overhead light. I know my battery is not dead, and I have a feeling it was something someone could easily remove or get to. The problem is, Im not all that car savy, and my car did not come with its manuel when I bought it (used). Thank you so much for your help! |

Re: Fuse Box location
Welcome to the forums,
The Grand am has 3 fuse box locations, one on each side of the dash board, on the outer edge next to where the door closes and one under the hood up by the driverside adjcent to the battery ( black box). The fuse boxes should have a diagram and locator numbers for each fuse on the back cover... I don't think your problem is a fuse, i think it's something a little more complicated then that. Your ingition could be shot, so when you turn the key nothing will happen... or a bad connection. My first thought would be there... good luck Hope this helps some.

Re: Fuse Box location
the lock cylinders on 99's are prone to failure or being defective.
Was any SES or SVS lights on the last time you drove the car?

Re: Fuse Box location
Thank you for replying! But I think my father (who is a bit off of his rocker) might have done something to my car. There was nothing wrong with it before, and I believe he might have unhooked something, or taken out a fuse. And chances are he wont exactly remember what he did.
