Unhappy Have you done a Castrol Supra?

I just started a Castrol Toyota Tom's Supra GT. But...its just my second Model Kit...and Im very VERY inexperienced...and I havent done anything with paint or anything like that. (Yeah...it makes the cars look crappy, I know.) And I am having troubles with the decals...I tryed to put the rim decals on yesterday, and they kept coming off...How do I do it? And if anyone has done one or is working on one, can I see some pics?

Perhaps u soaked the decal for too long? The best way I find is to drop them into the water (not the whole sheet - obviously ) for a few seconds just to soak, then take them out and place on tissue paper. Just leave the decal for a short while until it slides off the backing. There is enough water soaked into the paper to do this, meaning there is no need to leave them floating around in a bowl of water as this will only wash away the adhesive!

Hope this helps.

lol, your a beginner and you pick one of the most decal filled bodies kit to build......ok.

lol, how can you get the decal wrong? Get a warm cup of water, cut the decal out, throw it in, let it there for like 4 seconds, then take it out, wet you hands on the water and softly rub the decal, when it slips a little bit, depending on the size, place it again the surface and slide the paper out.

DAM NEWBIES!!! haha j/k

ok well.. this is what i do when i do decals, make sure the surface is clean.. then cut out the sticker and totally submerge it in water for like 3 seconds....

pull it out, the decal won't want to come off yet, but give it a few more then it should be able to slide, then slide it into place and just try and push it flat with ur finger.... then get a dry cloth and press down on it (STRAIGHT DOWN) to get the excess water out.

just try and u'll find a way that will work for u

uhh well u all are all newbies. well on this site neways. but a nother helpful tip is after u apply it dab it with a washcloth to wipe off ne excess water so it can dry faster. and dont try to do them all at once casue u could slide anohter one at of place and it could dry crocked. and nobody wants crocked decals on a model.

Decals in this kit are very sensible. I worked on it and you must be very carefull while you work with it. They are not good as other Tamiya's decals.
