Lock function doesnt work on new/old Keyless remote
Hi, i have a 98 vr6 and every button on my VW keyless remote works except the lock button. I just bought it recently and on my old keyless remote the lock button did work for like 2-5 times and then it stopped, and i thought it was time for a new one, cuz this one was in bad shape anyways.. So i bought a new one, programed it.. and still the only thing that doesnt work is the lock button.. Any thoughts???

Does the lock function using the LOCK/UNLOCK buttons inside the car? (not on the remote)

Yeah the locks work by pressing the unlock/lock button located in the center console.. so im puzzled why the unlock button, hatch button and panic all work but the lock button doesnt??

either you didnt program the remote right or the remote is bad. Sometimes self items dont last that long especially electrical ones. maybe your new remote is bad
