My 97 wrangler acted like it was running out of gas, so I had to pump the accelerator to keep it running, then it would run fine the rest of the day. It would happen every time I drove it, at least once. I kept thinking it was a fuel problem and changed the filter. Then I changed the distributer cap, still no change. Found out it was the oxygen sensors. There is one in front of the catalytic converter and one in back. 139.00 each...... Now it runs great and using less gas.
