short intake to bigg

does anybody know of a air intak that will fit my 88 hb dx with the b18a i have a ractive short intake for a 88-91 civic now an its almost laying on postive battery terminal thought about moving the battery to the trunk but seems to be a lil dangrous. i have a rubber intertube wrapped around the part of the intake that almost touch's the postive terminal now. do u guys think if i put that termal wrap around the intake it would help they say it keeps the intake 30 % cooler from summit dei-010417

Don't know about your engine, but when we tried to fit the AEM CAI into CRX (B16A), it would not clear the battery.

Solution: A smaller dry-cell battery, which we laid on its side.

idk about the intakes cause my car is stock but cant you just turn the battery around like since the terminals on the battery are set on the passenger side of the battery but turn it around so the termianals are on the drivers side of the battery. alos you couldt get a sidemount termianl battery and get those adapter things the turn teh side mount into top mount. its a terminal like the top but it screws into the side mount so its turns it into a side mounting top terminal. but you gotta remove that plastic around the battery and make sure its secure

what dont you specifically dont understand ? first i said turn battery around. then i suggested getting a side terminal battery so you need to get side mount adapters so you can mount your top style terminals to the side mount.

its alittle thing that screws into the side termianls, and makes it so you can mount the top style terminals to it.

id say get like an optima battery and lay it on its side, if you arent gonna relocate battery.

or you can like bang a dent into the intake to clear the terminal.
