Re: Subwoofer
You will need to run a battery cable, a remote wire, and a ground to the amp.
Power cable needs to run from the battery to the trunk for the sub. It needs to be atleast a 4 gauge battery cable, larger depending on amp output. The remote wire goes either to a switched power source or off the stereo if it has a remote wire on it. the ground can run to anywhere in the trunk that is grounded. It also should be atleast 4 gauge. Run the rca cables to the trunk. I always try to run the power wires on the opposite side I run the rca cables. Once you have the wires run and hidden you can place you sub box in. I have both of my amps mounted to the box so I can run one wire and split it off a fuse block. Take the remote wire and hook it to the remote screw, take the power cable and mount it to the power screw, and the same to the ground. On the power cable you need a fuse. You can put one inline or get a fuse block. Size of fuse depends on amp. Take the rca cable and connect it to the input connectors on the amp. Take care some amps have a rca input and output to run multiple amps off one rca. After pluggingin the rca you can then run the speaker wire to the sub connector on the box. If the amp is a true mono you only have one speaker hookup. Make sure that if you run more than one sub they are wired to a single connector on the box. You can generally pick up an amp wiring kit which has most of what u need. Make sure it is for the size of the amp and if it does not have a fuse pick one up. After everything is hooked up, run the wires so that they are clear of anything you may still put in the trunk. Then give it a try. That should do it I don't think I missed anything.
Oh if you are going to run a dualchannel amp then follow the hookup listed on the speaker connection on the amp. It is pos on one channel and the neg on the other channel, there will be the word bridged and arrows pointing to which connections to use
