Nice looking but fairly quiet muffler
I'm looking into getting a new muffler for my 92 Civic DX hatch. Since I don't have much money I can't afford a cat back system, so I'll just be getting an axel back rear section. I'm looking for one that looks nice but isn't very loud. The two that I was thinking about was either a muffler from Ravin Exhaust (available at my local midas) or a dynomax muffler. Any suggestions? I want a muffler that I can bolt on to my car, I don't want to have to get it custom installed.

sells stainless steel muffler with silencer. Those i hear are pretty quiet and have a deep tone. |

you want a good looking, quiet, and decently priced exhaust??? How bout a 6th Gen Si exhaust. looks great, but doesn't have an over powering sound.

My first axle-back exhaust was the Dynomax Super Turbo. Looked great and almost stock sounding.

Would a 6th Gen Si muffler fit on my car?

just try to avoid the really cheap universal mufflers. my friend got a magnaflow muffler on his 92 teg about a week ago and it sounds like a weedwacker when he gets on it. luckily it's pretty quiet when he drives it normal, but thats not too often.

I have the ravin on my 02 vic and its quiet as hell. Im gettin rid of it and gettin either the Greddy evo or the Tanabe racing. If you want quiet go for the racin, alls you get is a low humm.

LiL cs IF you want power gains then you want to get a CAt-back exaust. The universal will not give you nothin at all> If you want a cat back that is quiet. The apex WS is pretty quiet, its a low bass tone. Hope that helps

I don't want to get a catback yet because I'm saving up my money now for an engine swap. Until then I just want something that will look a little better then the stock muffler.

After being hassled by police for noise polution and "making my car go faster" (what idiots
), I bought an OBX muffler. It only cost me like 100 bucks brand new and it came with a removable silencer. With silencer in place... the muffler is quiet as hell. Remove the silencer and you have an deep, aggressive tone. Here's an idea of what it looks like (sorry I don't have a better pic right now)... this is on a hatchback as well, by the way.

Where'd you buy your OBX muffler? What style is it? I've looked at OBX stuff before, but can't find a good place to buy them other then ebay. Also, was the muffler made for the 92-95 hatch or did you have to have it custom mounted?
