96 accord ideas

Hey
I just bought my first car. Its a 96 accord ex 4 door. I am 19 and going to college so i don't have a lot of money. but i do want to make this car stand out a little. I went straight from the honda dealer that i bought it at to my local car audio shop. I bought a complete audio system and installed it myself. I want to spend about another $1000-1500 on the car but i am not sure what the best bang for my buck is. Any suggestions would be nice. I am also taking the car down to work in New Jersey for 4 months at the end of the semester so reliability is import.

Re: 96 accord ideas

well i am considering getting rims, but if i do that i will be spending most of my budget on those alone. But i was hoping I could afford to get some 17's and a nice set of seats. But i have been looking around and I cant seem to find any good quality seats at a reasonable price. So I am thinking maybe along the lines of exhaust, intake, and headers instead. all I know is that I don't want to go cheap. I would rather do less things to my car and do them right. Do you think that with a budget around 1500 that rims is a good route? I already have a stereo and this car is just and everyday daily driver. Basically I am just looking for some personal opinions and suggestions.

Re: 96 accord ideas

Get rims, don't mess with the engine, that could be just asking for trouble if you want a reliable car. Good luck!

Re: 96 accord ideas

For tires, the larger the better IMO, but you will have to see if the cost is worth it. I have no idea on seats, but there are some dang nice seat covers out there right now too, and they are super cheap.
