Angry camber question for evo

i know this is a honda forum but you guys respond quickly and know what you are talking about(most of the time) my wife drives an 05 evo and the tires need to be replaced because of too much negative camber. is it adjustable? the dealer says that it is a high performance car and that is the price i pay. it is stock. i do not want to replace tires every 15000 miles. again, thanks for help and I KNOW THIS IS A HONDA FORUM.

Re: camber question for evo

that dont sound right...did sombody get it lowered? if you get a camber kit you can adjust it, but its a new car unless you lowered it it shouldnt need it...also make sure the alignment is good, that can cause the same kind of tred were

Re: camber question for evo

sounds like bullshit to me. no car should wear the tires out in 15k.

Re: camber question for evo

Thats a load of BS if I've ever seen one! That car is set from the factory with camber, for stock ride height. Unless it was lowered it is supposed to be right, it may have some damage or maybe just a bad alignment.

Re: camber question for evo

check this out. I called another mitsu dealer and i told him that i had the car inspected on new years eve at 11927 miles and the 12000 mile adjustments were made and there were no problems and everything checked out fine.if the tires were going bad then they should of said something then. i said there was no way the wear on the tires could have been done in the last 2500 miles. he said that it does not take much to throw the allignment off and it was possible. If this were true, then my tires should blow in the next 2500 miles. i really like the evo but this is some bullshit that mitsu is doing.

Re: camber question for evo

It actually is possible to throw your alignment out of whack fairly fast, potholes, rough roads and such can do it. But camber shouldn't change.

Re: camber question for evo

I've heard nothing but crappy service from Mitsubishi when dealing with Evos. Your alignment could be off. Did you ever rotate the tires?

Re: camber question for evo

the tires were roatated once. i know it should be done more often. Yes the dealers are asses when it comes to the evo. its like they will find anything to not honor the warranty. ive heard from a few people including dealers that sometimes mitsu people look at online stats from races like drag, scca and nasa and if they find someone with an evo racing then they automatically void the warranty and keepp copies of the stats so the customer cant try to get warranty work done. I cant believe this. I hope my evo does not have too many issues. I will not do any aftermarket things to it. Now my crx is a different story.......
