third crx starter

my car keeps going through starter ill get a new one it will work for a while then i go to start my car and it takes a sec to turn over and sometimes it will just click i have to push start it anyone know whats up with my car??? thanks

well i made sure everthing was grounded and put a couple more grounds in and guess what i stiil had to push start it i was almost late for work im glad i have a small car the ground didnt help at all you think i should go to honda and get a new starter insted of autozone ive burnt 2 and this one just about to take a shit on me

Hows your flywheel/flexplate teeth look? does it grind at all?

no it doesnt grind at all i recently changed my clutch and flywheel and the flywheel was fine this thing has stumped me sometimes it works fine but if it sits for a long time it wont start everytime i turn the key it will click once sometimes if i want for a a little bit and try it again itll start the only thing i can think to try now is go to honda and get a starter

what about your battery have you checked it to see if it is to blame i mean it could be doing dead so maybe its the alternator too have you checked the alternator well i remember having a similar problem with my car but i cant remember what i did to fix it oh well good luck tell me if you fix your car i hope its something cheap bye

no it not the alternator its only about 6 months old and the battery only about 4 every time i get a new starter itll work just fine for a while then just start to crap out well tomorrows payday so im gonna go to honda and get my 4th starter hopfully it will be the last one i hate changing it my hands get all banged up thanks for the suggestion though ill let you know what happends

actual battery voltage reads? wiring from the battery to starter is clean and tight............if so, jumping the connections from the battery and ground to the starter resulted in...............and if they are tight you confirmed with readings on the starter? thermostat housing ground is tight and clean?

if youve gone through 3 starters already and plan on getting a fourth, its kinda like beating a dead horse to death again for the fourth time.
