have noob civic questions (not sure about right forum)

Ok i have a 95 2 dr honda civic ex and i am noob to the forums and basically to the import scene but i have however been interested the imports for a few years now. Just not enough to have come to something like this before. I however just got my car i wish to mod up and have a few questions.

What all is recommended visually for my car, i was lookin at the s14 silvia conversion kit for one, but i saw some other things i can do but i want my car to be unique not just another clone import cruisin around my town so aomething stray from altezza etc i also need to be able to afford it which could be a problem

my car has 145k miles on it should i rebuild the engine anytime soon and what other performance parts are recommended

what type of suspension is recommended and any other things the forum vets could fill me in on are greatly appreciated and welcomed

Also any tips for working out a couple door dings and painting all my parts etc would be appreciated

thanks for your time

since it sounds like you are big on looks get a good suspension and some nice -light- wheels with some good tires. if i were you i wouldnt get any kind of big looks stuff yet your car needs to be able to back it up and stock civics are terds.

first off let me say welcome to the af family and enjoy your stay with us as long as you like. basically what you want to do to your car depends on the cash flow that you have. decide on what you want for your car. to you want your car to be for show or for go. if it is for show then i would say get a bodykit, lower the car, and get a nice rim/tire package put on. if you want go the save up for an engine swap, or do the simple bolt ons to increase the horsepower of the car. get and intake, exhaust, and headers those are the 3 simple bolt ons. for an intake i recommend either AEM CAI, Injen short ram, or iceman CAI. those or the 3 i have heard the best about. Exhaust is different get either a cat back system of get just a muffler and have custom piping run. I recommend anything from Greddy, DC, 5Zigen (what i have now),Tanabe, Apex-i. Header stick with DC Sports they make great headers for hondas. That is all i got right now if you have any other questions email me or right back here i will get it either way and yes this is the right forum for your questions. enjoy your stay

whatever you decide on, make sure its what you want and like, not what someone else told you to get. I've been through that and I've learned.

Whatever you do, think very hard about what you do before you do anything. You'll probably change your mind a few hundred times about what you want to do. I see you have already realized how many stock civics with altezzas and a loud exhaust you see everyday so thats good.

145k on a Honda engine is nothing. As long as its been taken care of thus far, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Later on you might want to do a swap or a rebuild w/ turbo, etc.

The most important thing is to have fun! :smoka:
