Spat with a Lt1

Okay so we were just heading back to the crib after eating at Babe's in Roanoke(Fried chicken umm gooood!) So I notice a f-body sitting at the light in front of us(Two lane road, we were the only cars in the vicinity, I have one passenger.) So as I get a little closer, I can make out that its is a Lt1 TA, so I pull up with him on my right side, and before I can even get stopped completely at the light he gives it about a 3k rev(from what i heard it sounded cammed.)
So I rev back at about 6K (I already had the cutout open) And he gives another small rev.
So Im thinking cool holy shit I actually get a race, the last race I've had was when that ferrari handed me my ass and its been awhile, I do most of my driving in a workvan (In which I will gladly accept all challengers, Geo's, Corolla's,Minivans alike)

Anyway back to the story, the light turns green, And I launced at about 1K(trying to be easy on the clutch it s still slipping and I still havent replaced the bitch, I want to do everything in there at once) So I get a fairly good launch with minimal wheelspin, I get maybe 2-3 foot on him on the launch, we stay pretty even throughout first, I jam second jump a little sideways and immdiatley start pulling like crazy, I look in my passenger mirror, and see him put on his blinker and turn in the first parking lot, So I guess he either broke something or got scared , but any way Im pissed I want a race dammit, This dryspell has gone too long, hell even a slumbuster will do
