2001 lude burning oil badly...anyone head of this?
my 2001 is burning oil pretty badly. I know its not a ring beacause i did a compression test, and i opened the valve cover for a look see and didnt see anything odd. I have heaver heard any weird noises either. maybe a little gurgle from my header exhaust area. no leaks, no smoke..i have no idea, but i burnt 2 quarts in a month. someone let me know if they have ever had this problem or know someone.

well.....it has only been a month since i got itsooo you can probably figure i have been hitting it too much. but i had an accord and i was always scootin around in that and never lost a drop. i wouldnt think 2 quarts in month is a reasonable amount but i really dont know. it would make me feel alot better to know that my car isnt messed up though.

Well VTEC burns alot of oil, so just moniter it and keep it filled up.

I have my motor down to a GAURANTEE that once I hit VTEC I am burning oil and basically turning the oil to black sludge .. requiring basically an immediate oil change. Its a very common problem and I have not figured out the cause yet..
