95 chevy s-10 blazer

I have a 95 s-10 blazer the check engine light has come on also there is a gas smell and it's idling really fast like the engine wants to die I could use any info you may have

What does the check engine light say like code no?

Stop by autozone or advanced autoparts and have the code scanned and let us know what it is. As to the gas smell that could be a couple of things including a blown CPI unit (your fuel injector system) Get the codes and let us know what they are, we can help you better that way.
