before and after, you've gotta see this!

Whats up people,
Well, this is a before and after comparison. I bought the car in February of this year for $600. It had damage behind the driver's door and was crushed pretty well. I got a hydraulic spreader and some bondo and fixed that up all nice and pretty. I then came across a deal I couldn't pass up on some 17" ICW Racing wheels with tires and purchased those. Next on the agenda was to redo the brakes, just a stock replacement with new pads, rotors, shoes and drums. Then, I got Sprint 1.5" drop springs and put on new struts during the install. Next, took the car to Maaco to have it sprayed Championship White (type R color, you should know that). Before coming home from the paint shop, I stopped by the muff shop and had a cat back system fabbed up and a Magnaflow muff put on the rear. Yesterday, I put on a chrome header from HP Racing. That's it for now but next I'm buying my friends Si motor (sohc) because he's getting a B16 in his hatch (4th gen). So, that will update me to 1.6L, 5 speed, MPFI. So, check out the pics and let me know what you think. Oh yeah, less than $2000 invested including Kenwood CD Player and Diamond Audio M3 speakers, ALL PAYED FOR!!

patience is a virtue young grasshopper. Try this. I whipped it up real quick so it's not that great. One of the pictures I uploaded into it isn't there so this will have to do for now. My computer was freezing up while I was trying to load pics onto the forum so I decided to go an alternated route. Try this...http://hometown.aol.com/im4u2nv81/page2.html

i also wish I could paint car. Looks fine from far away but close up there are scratches and chips EVERYWHERE.

Also, it seems like I wax my car, and then in a month the water doesent bead anymore. I have used rain dance, turtle wax, some wal*mart carnarbua shit, and meguiars cleaner - wax. The meguiars did have a brilliant shine compared to others, but didnt bead after about 2 weeks. Whats up with that?

I can see the difference in color but let me assure you it's the same. I don't know if it is the light or the angle or what but it's the same, trust me. So, are there any suggestions? Opinions? I wanna hear what the people in the same interest group as me think.

"ALL PAYED FOR!!"

way to go, most people slap everything on CC and then sell stuff to pay off the bill. A 5th gen ex lip would fit too.

The paint job from Maaco cost about $500. Let me explain...I was changing the color so I added $30 for each door jamb including the back hatch, so there's an extra $90 involved. So, I got the Prep Plus, Supreme Paint, and a Full Clear Coat. May I reccomend more clear. The paint layed down well but I wish I would have gotten another 2 layers of clear so I can wet sand. Right now, I'm scared to go into it because I think I'll go right through the clear with he sanding, buffing and polishing. So, sure go to Maaco. At least here in Pcola, FL they do a good spray job. Check out what they have in your area though. Peaches was a little bit cheaper here but when I looked in their booth, it looked like their spray jobs get orange peel effect afterwards. So, I payed a few dollars extra for a better job. Also, try to get all the little dings out before you go to a place like these. They only "prep"the car by sanding it, not fixing dings and dents. Good luck, let's see pics.

Maaco isn't bad you just get what you pay for. I would shell out $1000 for a paintjob.
