Headlight Removal

I was looking at the headlights on my '91 LS to take them out to bake them to cure the moisture problem and to make clear corners at the same time. I don't have an owner's manual and couldn't tell how to take them out. Probably something simple that I'm overlooking. I know many of you have done this before, any help for a noobie LS owner?

Re: Headlight Removal

I think you posted in the wrong forum - this is for the Lincoln LS.

Re: Headlight Removal

No...right forum, just wrong year of car posted. Should have said 2001 Lincoln LS. Sorry...old age kicking in. The posed question remains the same.

Co'mon guys...a little help here? I know many of you have done this mod, including you Quik LS. I thought the purpose of these forums was to help those with limited knowledge to further achieving the personalization of their rides!

Re: Headlight Removal

To take the headlights out you will need to remove the top cover going across the headlights and radiator. There are four plastic twist fasteners that hold it on. Now remove the cover piece between the headlights in front of the radiator. There are three fastners that you have to push the middle release button to get the fasteners to come out. Then remove the ambient air temperature module. It looks like a black cylinder that sits on the cover piece between the headlights. It just pulls straight up. Once you have those pieces removed you'll see three bolts that hold each headlight on. Just remove them and the headlights slides straight out.

Hope that helps.
