'90 LeSabre steering column noise
I have this car with 112,000 miles and recently it has started to make a rubbing noise when I turn the wheel during parking etc. It sounds like a dry steering column bearing. I've been inside these columns many times to replace lock cylinders, turn signal switches, etc. but never looked into the bearing aspect. Do they have a upper and lower bearing? and is there a way to lube them or do they need to replaced. If a big job maybe leave it go till it worsens and then try to replace the column. I guess I'm looking for a simple way to quiet this noise if ther is one if possible. Thanks, Formzy
