MAF and Fuel Injectors

I want to clean out the MAF, fuel injectors, and PCV valve. How do I do this?

well as far as the maf, i'm not sure. for the injectors, just buy some injector cleaner for your gas tank. And if you have the same pcv as my golf did, then it just pulls off and you can use carb cleaner to spray in there and clean things off.

Well I actually do want to clean the injectors myself b/c I don't believe in the cleaner garbage. It has never helped me. Where do I find the PCV and how do I get it off? This is a 1996 2.0 litre.

that link will show you what a pcv looks like. now i am going off of memory, but i believe if you are looking at the engine from the front, it is about 1 ft down from the fire wall and about 1.5ft from the passanger side fender. it is right on the top of the block so it should be easy to see. be careful when you take it off though because the plastic it is made with is weak and will break or crack easily.

as for the injectors, i think that you will have to take off the fuel rail and take out the injectors to clean them. some carb cleaner and a soft wire brush should clean them up nicely. i would recommend buying new o ring seals for the injectors before you put them back in. its like 10 cents per seal and it will ensure you dont have any leaks.

OK. I just took the tubes off the PCV and everything is coated with motor oil and is glopped up. Any ideas how this could have happened? Also, how do I remove the PCV valve from the block?
