swapping 96 blazer knock sensor to 2001?

Hi all, I just got done rebuilding my 4.3 in my 96 blazer. Problems arose when I had to get new block due to old one cracked. My new block is a 2001 GMC which uses a different knock sensor (2 wires) my 96 has 1 wire going to the knock sensor. Is there a way to make the 2001 work with the 1996 wiring? I can handle doing a rewire but need to know if it is possible and what to change!!
Thanks for your help, Rob
