1999 Winstar, Coughing

My 1999 Windstar 3.8L is stalling and coughing between 1800 - 2200 RPM. Any ideas?

If you have no codes, I would guess either damaged spark cables ... or dirty fuel filter or pump screen.

I am not sure if this will help but it started this did it for a few days then stopped 10 days. Then it started again. Apprciate any help.
