Re: Mugen, Spoon
Mugen and Spoon are good companies, but they are entirely too expensive. Mugen was actually started by the son; of the owner of Honda. Any car that is going to produced, Mugen gets a car before full production even starts (so they are one of the first companies to come out with performance parts for the new car). Spoon uses a lot of Honda parts. They sell Honda blocks that they balance and blueprinted, they have their cams made by Honda (with Spoon's own specs). Like I said before though, they are expensive. For some reason both companies don't want to come out big in the US. If they did, they could make a lot of $ without such high prices.
The only complaint I remember reading about Skunk2, was their valves. Seen quite a few threads over at honda-tech about them braking. Honestly, just do research for every part you want to buy. Just because something is made by a reputable company, doesn't mean there isn't a similar products that gives better gains and is just as reliable. |
