Help with axle hub nut
Hey guys im taking my tranny out in my garage and the axle nut has stopped me in my tracks. I was using a breaker bar like tha manual said and it wasnt enough. I used a snip and snapped the head off the head of the breaker bar. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go from here

Re: Help with axle hub nut
break it off with the breaker bar and the tires on the ground. if that dont work, a 800 ft lbs impact gun will always do.
the breaker method has always worked.

Re: Help with axle hub nut
Using an impact on an axle nut is a bad idea. They can cause CV joints and wheel bearings to fail prematurly due to brinnelling of the bearing surfaces caused by the impact. Always loosen and tighten by hand, vehicle on the ground, and torque them to proper specs.
