New Cadillac STS-V
Check this link
Lots of information from motorsportscenter.com "This supercharger is worthy of special note - engineers were happy to tell us that this blower operates with some 30% less drag than the Ford GT's supercharger, and the intercooler has 50 cooling fins per inch length of the pipeline." Cadillac only plans to build between 1,000 and 2,000 STS-Vs per year.
The Northstar V8 SC, the STS-V's 4.4 liter supercharged V-8, is built by a single technician in about four hours. Around half of the engine parts are new on the Northstar V-8 SC. Cadillac says the stainless-steel wire-mesh front grille increases airflow 34 percent to help cool the engine. The ducts under the foglamps direct air to the front brakes for cooling. ![]() ![]()

The following is from the April, 2006 issue of Road & Track:
For the record, it takes one technician in the Wixom, Michigan, plant a little more than four hours to build each supercharged V-8, which is then hot-tested for four hours before going into a car.
