Re: ECU tricks

The only ecu "trick" would be something like an Apexi VAFC, where you can do some minor tweaks. Other than that, no.
I've never had to reset my ecu, so I can't answer that.

Re: ECU tricks

it's not that i need to trick it. it's the question of, are you able to trick it? if u buy a jet chip what does it do? It tells the computer that your engine is sucking in colder air than what is actually there, so it ups the fuel ratio and boostsa half a horse. That'sall any chip really does. If the air/fuel mixture not made correct by a regulator, than a chip can compensate for it.
i was just wondering if there was anything cheapthat i could do. maybe someone knew of something like jumping wires in a sensoror remappinga sensor in some way, shape or form. but ifnot that's cool, just wondering if there was something out there. im new to the ecu aspect of hondasso im looking into it as much as i possibly can.

Re: ECU tricks

tricking, hacking.................same thing.

tricking sensors in changing your AFRs.......................how do you know you are properly changing the AFRs? how do you know if throwing in more fuel is what you need? if your throwing in more fuel....................how do you know you are throwing in the proper amount? all those aftermarket chips are worthless. try looking into entire engine management systems. those chips were around in the early 90s. this is the mid 2000's. there have been many advances in engine management in the past 15 years, not to mention more affordable. try looking into those.
