99 dim odometer
My son just acquired a 99 Cav. At first, we couldn't even find the odometer, but then realized that the digital odo is very dim.
Anyone know what sort of fix this is, easy-hard, cheap-expensive etc.? If you really shade the area with your hands you can read it, or barely at night. Thanks.

seen it a few times bulb behind odometer burns out cant buy a replacment even from gm (in canada anyways) but if you know someone who can solder you can replace the bulb

Not true. Can be fixed for about $9.00.
My odometer was very very dim, but I could still read it. I removed the insterment cluster, removed the screws in the back and a silver cardbord cover. There was a blub (brown plastic socket" that could be removed. There were no numbers on the blub. I took the blub inot my GM dealer. He did have a really hard time finding the part, but he did return with a blub. It cold $9.00 and once i put it in, it was fixed. I have the part number for the blub at home and will post it. They should be 194 bulbs.
