Distributor

is it possible to blow a distributor? i just had it replaced and now with about 3 hours driving time on it bandit want fire she's turning over but not fireing...

Bandit,

HEI distributors are generally very good. If you bought a "reman", I would take the module out and have it tested. Any local parts store should have the tester.
If the module checks out, the pickup coil is also known to fail. If the module fails the test, get a "real" one. That is, GM or MSD. NOT a generic replacement...

Coils are usually not an issue with HEI. Check the supply line (BAT terminal) to be sure you have 12 volts there.

i fixed it last night lol it was the coil it burnt out... i got a msd one sitting in my trunk just not warm enough to really work on her right now thanks though.
