Re: Locating the speakers
Do you have the infinity sound system in the car from factory or no?
Also when they say 11 speakers what they probably mean is you can have 1 driver houseing but have say a 2 way 3 way or 4 way speaker itself in a 2 way you would actually have 2 speakers in 1 mounting location as a woofer-mid and a tweeter, in a 3 way you would have a woofer mid and tweeter and a 4 way would be a woofer mid tweeter and super tweeter. From what it woulds like it sounds as if you have the infinity sound system if thats the case you have 2 ways in the front doors "left and right doors" = 4 speakers then you would probably have a center speaker somewhere in the upper front dash faceing the windshield for another 2 speakers and 2 in the back doors or deck for the other 4 speakers so that gives up 10 and then they probably have a subwoofer hidden somewhere in the car for the 11th speaker. 2 speakers in the front doors if 2 ways = 4 speakers now add the same for the back deck "most likely location" that would then give us 8 speakers then add the center channel if you will in the fron dash to make it 10 speakers then the sub to make it 11. I hope this helps if not let me know my email add. is [email protected] please mention the 300m speakers in the subject line though I sadly get a ton of junk mail. Joe

Re: Locating the speakers
There are only 9 speakers if you have the Infinity system, otherwise you have 7. Two in the rear deck, 2 in the rear doors in front of the door handles, 2 in the front doors where the speaker grilles are (and these are two-ways, hence the "additional" two speakers for a "total" of "11" speakers), two sails at the front door windows and there is one in the middle of the dash.

Re: Locating the speakers
Thank alot
That help me out a bunch, do anyone know how to remove the rear speakers from the back of the car. Also, if so, do you have pics showing how to remove them. |

Re: Locating the speakers
There is a link in the 300M club, but that particularis in the "knowledgebase" is only accessible to members. This site has amazing amounts of information for 300M owners and enthusiasts. What a great bunch of folks who have a great willingness to help. The club only costs $14.95/year. This is not a solicitation, but I do belong to it. I have learned so much from these people and have saved way more than the $15 it cost. With their help I changed out both of my cooling fans and have done other mods. I have probably save over $1000 doing stuff myself over the last year. I do know there is this exact information on their site. Your only problem is it would cost $15 to get it. There is a lot of other free info there as well. Check it out: www.300mclub.org
