need info on fast and furious eclipse

hey everybody, well im attempting to recreate the green eclipse paul walker drove in the movie, bc i just like the way it looks...you can talk smack about the movie, but i still love that car, so i gotta gsx, 97'. i guess what i need is somebody to help me with extreme details of that car, as far as exact names of every aftermarket part used on it. that would help soooo much, i would really appreciate it. also, ive been a honda person for a while, ive been rebuilding engines and trannys, swaps and whatnot, now im moving to mitsubishi...wouldnt mind if somebody helped me out with telling me some info on the absolute best engine parts...advice about the car itself...like i just need an all around eclipse GOD to guide me...i really appreciate all of your posts, peace~

I thought the eclipse in the movie was a GS with the 2.4? If that's the case then you'll have to go your own route in modifying the drivetrain. As far as body parts go i do not know what was used or the color code they painted it with.

Um... if you really wanted to create it exactly like the movie, ditch the gsx. The one they used in the movie was a gs non turbo, even though they said it was a gsx

well i realize that it wasnt a gsx, i bought the thing bc its awd turbo...sweet i know...i woulda been disapointed with the 2wd down the road im sure, but neways i can handle the internal work, which why i need somebody to give me hints on the best parts for a aftermarket turbo driven nos spraying motor...about the movie related parts...i just basically need info like....the rims, tires, body kit(which im almost positive is the blitz kit), interior, exterior, engine dress up, the pedals and the shifter...cdplayer/ lcd diagnostic readout, things of that nature...the brand names and all that technical jazz...ya know?

If you're serious about modding your car, then ditch the F&F idea. It's been done, and it's lame.

Alright man, just checking lol. You did the right thing and went with the gsx. Not to be an ass, but I wouldn't really think anyone on this forum would know much about that car since 99% of us are here for performance, not show. I'd do a search on google. There are probably many sites out there with the info you want.

dont hate me guys.... i like that movie... its a "battle-z" body Kit, Konig Rims, Magna flow exhaust, AEM CAI (it IS a non turbo GS, 95 to be exact) the suspention was ebay brand. Toyo ZX tires? that what i got from it anyways, all the hoses are steal braded....even the plug wires...they where painted blue. underglow was made by streetglow...anything else? those Glorious floor mats where also off ebay, umm.....evolution racing i belive... thats all i got right now... working on some Economics stull... i;ll fill you in on more if you need... just ask... you can even PM me if you want. ...DONT HATE ME PLEASE!!! haha

When I read the title to this thread...I cringed (so many F&F questions pop up in the DSM forum). When I saw you wanted all the specs so you could remake the F&F eclipse with your GSX...I tried to stick my fingers in the outlet. The more I thought about it though, I think it could be pretty sweet if done right. If you put some serious time and $$ into your car (I'm thinking it will take about 10-15k to do it right) and built yourself an 11 second eclipse that had all the looks of the F&F eclipse, that would be awesome. It would be a great show car and nobody would expect the car to be actually fast.

If the F&F eclipse pulled up next to me, I'd laugh and immediately try racing it. If I lost to it...major kudos.

That said...I have no idea what they put into that car. I'd say you go with mod the exterior and interior according to what you can see in the movie, and build the engine disregarding F&F stuff. Just dress up the engine bay when you are done. I'm on board for helping however I can.

You gota start with the AEM cold air intake, NOS fogger system and Motech Exhaust. Don't forget the stand alone fuel mangment system. And you'll need 10 grand.

Well, I have this book that includes every detail to every main cars from F&F and F&F2... I don't know why I got it or where, but it was a long time ago and if you really want all the specs here they are...

It says here that there were no suspension mods and the motor was stock... But yet they claimed oh so many things to be on that motor in the movie... Typical ricer talk. lol
